Set up by Jan van den Broek in 2008, the VandenBroek Foundation champions emerging talent in the cultural and creative sector. The aim is to open up art and cultural experiences to a wider public, supporting viewers and listeners as well as the artists themselves.
The VandenBroek Foundation supports the Royal Concertgebouw talent programme, De Ateliers foundation and the educational programme run by the Rijksmuseum’s Teekenschool. Through the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation (NMF), it also loans unique musical instruments to musicians and music students. With the LAM museum, the VandenBroek Foundation aims to provide new, inventive and exciting art experiences that will encourage people to visit more museums.
The VandenBroek Foundation sponsors the Royal Concertgebouw’s annual talent competition, which gives children from across the Netherlands the opportunity to perform at the famous Concertgebouw hall and develop their musical skills.
The VandenBroek Foundation is registered as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI).
